PROFESSIONAL TEACHER EDUCATION

This blog post/reflection is about the experience of having a background of different cultures and international exposure as a teacher. Benefits and challenges of living abroad as a teacher and student as well. So we all worked in different groups for the preparation of this international workshop. In our Group we were five members, me, Malek, Bente, CJ, Hills and Terrence. All of the participants played a very good role in devising  the webinar material.  Everyone of us was quite thrilled for this webinar but on the day of workshop I unfortunately had an emergency and had to quit . I was really unhappy but sometimes situations turn upside down. I am really grateful for such understanding group mates who comforted me at that moment and agreed to represent my part. As it is really important for student's to be mentally and physically healthy and strong to prosper in their career, so are the services that are being provided them to flourish despite of the odds and problems that any individual can face in a society.    So here is a brief reflection about the services that are important part of student career and their well-being. First of all, the student care team has an important task in the welfare work of a secondary school. Student welfare services support the learning and well-being of students in many ways. Student welfare staff cooperate with the school staff and various networks. Student welfare is primarily preventive work.  Communal student welfare is the task of all those who work and study at schools. A multi-disciplinary team of professionals is there to support the student. Individual student welfare services are provided by psychologists, school social workers, public health nurses, doctors and nurses specialised in mental health and substance abuse work.  Schools also have many other professionals to support the students. Date: (29-11-2023) By: Abeeda Khan In this blog post  I will share my thoughts on the topic mentioned above. All the key questions and points were discussed by the different group members with the collaboration of each other. Though a few of our peers could'nt  join the webinar due to some personal reasons. But all the participants shared their useful knowledge about the topic and our respected tutors also guided us at some points.
